• Electrolyte sachets (if you use them)
• Chocolate or jellies for extra energy that may be required by some hikers nearing the end of a hike.

• A long sleeve warm top  "AND" a waterproof jacket over it.
• A 2nd  Base layer (optional)
• Hiking Shoes or Boots
• Trek Poles if desired.
• Small towel or facecloth
• Hat and Gloves
• Hot drink flask or fruit drink

The club is generally aimed at 18+

But we should be welcoming to younger walkers and hikers. So younger hikers are welcome in these cases . . . 

14 - 17 year old hikers if they have at a 18+ adult  to accompany them.

Parents may bring a child with them, if your child is at least 12 years old and physically capable for the hike event as there are varying fitness levels required. 

We simply have to take some safety precautions. 

No age limits apply to parents wanting to take their children on one of our more relaxed 'walks'.

There is not an opportunity to let dogs off their lead. For safety reasons and to prevent a dog going missing in the wilderness. It has happened.  

Yeah, really get ready to have fun. Walking and hiking is such a great thing to do for your mind, body and soul.
